Heart of Stone

Here lies the road into the deep, dark wood,  Fern dusted banks, and tree roots, and red, red earth.  Ahead lie shadows, and chiming sprite's mirth  Drawing me deep into the dark wild wood.   
Blithely I go along a path I should  Never have dared dread. Long gone from cold hearth  And smokeless chimney, clothes stained: red, read earth.  Wandering far into the night, and the wild dark wood.   
A sorceress waits in her quiet damp grove,  Readying the prayer to make my heart stone:  A poisoned blessing blending foul with good.  What need I a beating heart bruised by love?  Wh

A ComedyHarlequin watches the rippling moon  drifting east downstream to paint the ocean,  breathes a Pierrot sigh, thinks that too soon  this face that mirrors face will fade again.   
Harlequin whistles, strikes a cheeful pose,  smooths gaudy feather, adjusts jaunty hat,  twists a moonstruck dancing step as he goes  artlessly strolling callous as a cat.   
Harlequin smoothes the over-studied note,  by streetlight wrapped in night pursues his task.  motley shoulders bent beneath lost love's coat  preparing new scenes to change an old masque.   
Again the oldest tale spins out A Comedy

The Frost that I have read I have liked, but I'm not hugely familiar with him. I think in part because some of his rural and agrarian imagery is slightly foreign to me, I have not sought him out.
